November 9, 2017•E.&J. Gallo is adding Sicilian winery Tornatore to its Lux Wines division, effective January 1. The family-owned Tornatore is located in Castiglione di Sicilia on the northeastern slopes of Mt. Etna, and is known for producing expressions of native grapes Nerello Mascalese and Carricante. Gallo will roll out Tornatore’s Etna Bianco, Etna Rosso, Etna Rosso Pietrarizzo and Etna Rosso Trimarchisa nationally in the U.S. in January, retailing from $30-$80 a bottle. Gallo’s Lux Wines unit also includes the Allegrini, Pieropan, Renato Ratti, Poggio al Tesoro, Jermann and Argiano brands.
