Craft Brewing and Distilling News for March 1, 2018
March 1, 2018•Three Floyds Brewing is planning to triple the size of its facilities in Munster, Indiana. Three Floyds expects to build a sprawling campus beyond its current 57,000-square-foot plant—bigger than an acre in size—to include a larger brewery with state-of-the-art BrauKon equipment from Germany along with offices, retail sales shop and outdoor dining. The company hopes to get approval from the city council for the project this month and complete construction next year. Three Floyds, founded by Chicagoan Nick Floyd in 1996, is known for its annual Dark Lord Day festival that draws thousands of visitors seeking its Dark Lord Imperial Stout. Last year the company entered into a collaboration with the Danish brewer Mikkel Borg Bjergso to introduce a beer under the WarPigs Brewing label.
