News Alert: Brown-Forman Names Hayes President Of U.S. And Canada, Among Other Changes
May 16, 2018Brown-Forman has announced a series of changes to its senior executive team, effective June 15. Among them, John Hayes has been named SVP, and president of USA & Canada. Hayes, a 31-year company veteran, was most recently SVP, chief marketing officer for Brown-Forman Brands (including all brands except for Jack Daniel’s).
Meanwhile, Mike Keyes, who has for the last decade served as SVP and president of the North America Region, will become SVP, chief corporate affairs officer, heading up a new global corporate affairs organization within the company encompassing corporate social responsibility, government affairs, family shareholder relations, corporate communications, global community relations, and corporate services.
Also, Brown-Forman veteran Mark McCallum will become EVP, chief brands officer, responsible for the marketing activities for the company’s global portfolio. Over the last 15 years McCallum has served in a variety of roles with the company including president of Jack Daniel’s, COO, and CMO.
On the international side, Thomas Hinrichs, currently president of Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands region, will become SVP, president of the International Division, responsible for the company’s business in all regions except the U.S. and Canada. Hinrichs has been with Brown-Forman for 21 years and prior to his current position served as managing director for Central Europe, Greater Europe & Africa, and all of Europe. Finally, Jill Jones, an 18-year company veteran who was most recently executive vice president overseeing many of Brown-Forman’s emerging global regions and travel retail, is departing the company.—Daniel Marsteller
