•Texas-based Treaty Oak Distilling has partnered with brand incubator Mahalo Spirits Group in a bid to further its expansion plans. The Texas-based distillery produces the Waterloo gin brand, the Red-Handed brand of Bourbon and rye, and Ghost Hill Bourbon. With the new partnership, Treaty Oak plans to launch into seven new markets with a national rollout to follow. Mahalo’s current portfolio also includes Papa’s Pilar Rum and Suerte Tequila. The company also helped develop Angel’s Envy Bourbon, which was subsequently acquired by Bacardi.

•Minnesota’s Cold Spring Brewing Co. has entered the alcoholic seltzer segment with the Hula brand, which has been released under the company’s Third Street Brewhouse range. Hula Spiked Seltzer is initially available in three flavors—Mango Papaya, Pineapple Guava, and Starfruit Dragon Fruit—and canned at 5% abv. The varieties are available in 6-packs of 12-ounce cans, as well as a sampler 12-pack. Cold Spring Brewing is owned by Brynwood Partners and, in addition to its Third Street Brewhouse label, specializes in private label and contract production of beer, energy drinks, and flavored sparkling water.
