October 19, 2018•Beam Suntory has introduced a new limited edition offering within its Kilbeggan Irish whiskey lineup. Made with a mash of malt, barley, and 30% rye, Kilbeggan Small Batch Rye ($35 a 750-ml.) is the first whiskey 100% distilled and matured at the Kilbeggan Distillery since it was fully restored in 2010. The 43% abv expression is set to roll out across the U.S. in mid-November, and joins Blended Irish whiskey and Single Grain whiskey in the Kilbeggan portfolio.
•San Diego’s Cafe Agave has debuted a new line of alcohol-infused cold brew coffees. Available in Espresso Shot, Caffe Mocha, Salted Caramel, and Vanilla Cinnamon flavors, Café Agave Spiked Cold Brew is made with dark roast Arabica coffee that’s steeped for 12 hours and then spiked with a blend of wine, cream, agave syrup, sugar, and natural flavors. The 12.5% abv expressions are initially rolling out across Nevada, Arizona, California, Washington, and Oregon in 6.3-ounce cans, for sale as singles and in 4-packs. Cafe Agave originally launched in 2016 with a Spiked Cream Liqueur.
