•Fermented Sciences Brewing has launched Flying Embers Organic Hard Kombucha (4.5%-abv) throughout California in partnership with distributor Reyes Beverage Group. The fermented tea beverage has three flavors—Ginger & Oak, Lemon Orchard, and Ancient Berry—to be sold in individual 22-ounce bottles ($8) and 4-packs of 16-ounce cans ($14). Generally hovering below 1%-abv, kombucha has exploded in popularity in recent years due to both its tangy, sour taste and its touted probiotic health benefits, and now higher-alcohol versions of the beverage such as Flying Embers are also beginning to come to market.
