February 14, 2019•Diamond Knot Brewing Company is launching three new year-round beers. New offerings include Flagstate IPA (6.2% abv), Tropic Island Stout (6% abv), and Lower Deck Lager (5% abv). Meanwhile, the brewery has promoted its Northwest Blonde (4.2% abv) to year-round status, and will launch Industrial IPA (7.9% abv) as the first offering in its 2019 premium series. Mukilteo, Washington-based Diamond Knot operates three breweries and pubs in western Washington.
•Houston-based Saint Arnold Brewing Co. has released its first cider, Original Dry. The 5.5% abv cider is launching on draft across Houston, and will roll out in 12-ounce cans throughout Texas and Louisiana next month. Original Dry is made with a proprietary blend of apples from the Pacific Northwest, Saint Arnold house brewer’s yeast, and a combination of Belgian candi syrup and Burleson’s Honey from Waxahachie, Texas. Original Dry joins more than 20 beers in Saint Arnold’s portfolio.
•Bear Republic Brewing is rolling out Sonoma Tart, a fruited sour ale brewed with guava and passionfruit. Launching in 6-packs and on draft, Sonoma Tart is at 5.2% abv and is billed as a “gateway craft beer” for wine drinkers, with similarities to Sauvignon Blanc. Based in Cloverdale, California, Bear Republic is known for its core Racer 5 IPA.
