March 8, 2019•Edrington has named Igor Boyadjian as managing director of The Macallan single malt Scotch whisky.Boyadjian, who joined the company in 2017, is currently managing director, Asia Pacific & India. In his new role, he succeeds Scott McCroskie, who was recently named CEO of Edrington. Effective April 1, Boyadjian will take the helm of The Macallan, Edrington’s flagship brand and one of the leaders of the global single malt market.
•Veteran winemaker Doug Fletcher has retired from Terlato Wines after more than four decades in the industry. Since 2006, Fletcher has been vice president of winemaking at Terlato, overseeing the winemakers and viticulturists for all of the Terlato’s family-owned brands including Alderbrook, Chimney Rock, Rutherford Hill, Sanford Winery & Vineyards, and Terlato Family Vineyards. Fletcher was also a consultant to Terlato’s joint venture with Michel Chapoutier in Australia.
