May 22, 2019•New Holland Spirits in New Holland, Michigan, has debuted a new vodka brand. Lake Life vodka is a 40% abv expression that’s pot distilled from grain. The new brand is currently rolling out to grocers and independent retailers across Michigan, retail priced at $20 a 750-ml. Additionally, Lake Life will be available at New Holland Brewing’s two West Michigan-based brewpub locations. The New Holland Spirits lineup also includes gin, rum, whiskey, and liqueur offerings.
•Comstock Park, Michigan-based Perrin Brewing Company will launch the next release in its Side Hustle Series, Kveik’n It Real Nordic IPA, on May 23. The 7% abv ale is brewed from a base of oats, wheat, and Honindal Kveik, a Norwegian farmhouse yeast, before being double dry-hopped with Styrian Wolf and Styrian Dragon hops. Initially, the brew will launch at Perrin Pub on draft and in 6-packs of 12-ounce cans, with statewide distribution to follow. Perrin is a member of the Canarchy Collective.
