August 19, 2019•O’Neill Vintners & Distillers has teamed up with former NFL star Charles Woodson to launch Intercept, a collection of wines sourced from Paso Robles and Monterey County. The brand will initially release four wines: a 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, a 2017 red blend, a 2018 Chardonnay, and a 2017 Pinot Noir. All but the Pinot Noir are sourced from Paso Robles. The wines are now rolling out in the Midwest, California, and Florida for a suggested price of $18 a bottle.
•Argentina’s Crios wine brand, imported by Folio Fine Wine Partners, has been revamped with new packaging. The new look includes a cork closure for the brand’s red varietals, the signature of founder Susana Balbo, references to Crios’ Uco Valley sourcing, and other quality cues. Retailing at $15 a 750-ml., Crios includes a Torrontés, Rosé of Malbec, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
