•New York governor Andrew Cuomo has announced that New York City restaurants may open indoor dining at 25% capacity beginning February 12, two days earlier than previously announced. The reopening was previously scheduled for Valentine’s Day, but restaurants requested an earlier reopening date to allow staff to prepare ahead of the holiday. Indoor bar service will remain closed, with all beverage alcohol restricted to tables, and indoor food and beverage service will close from midnight to 5am.

•Double Eagle Very Rare, Cask-Finished Irish Single Malt, and newcomers from Catoctin Creek and Berkshire Mountain Distillers are among the offerings featured in Whisky Advocate’s latest weekly roundup. The magazine’s website has all the details.

•North Carolina-based Duplin Winery is investing an initial $15 million in a 35,000-square-foot entertainment complex in Panama City Beach, Florida, which will mark its third location. Slated to open in early 2022, the venue will feature specialty drinks, gourmet foods, merchandise, live entertainment, and Duplin’s namesake sweet wines, which grew 16% to 560,000 cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank. Duplin’s existing locations include its home base in Rose Hill, North Carolina and a North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina outpost that opened in 2015.

•Italian sparkling wine producer Cantine Maschio has debuted its first Prosecco Rosé Extra Dry DOC. A blend of 87% Glera and 13% Pinot Noir, the new sparkler will begin rolling out across the U.S. in March, retail priced at $15 a 750-ml. Cantine Maschio is imported to the U.S. by New York-based importer Frederick Wildman & Sons.

•Napa Valley-based Sinegal Estate is launching a new label, Details Cabernet Sauvignon, into broad retail and restaurant distribution. Retailing at $40 a 750-ml., the new Cabernet also includes Merlot, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot from select sites in Sonoma Valley, Knights Valley, Alexander Valley, Dry Creek, and Chalk Hill. Sinegal is the St. Helena-based 30-acre property originally known as Inglewood Estate. The Sinegal family acquired it in 2013.
