•Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series FAE-01, Barrel-Proof Michter’s, and newcomers from Bowmore and M&H Distillery are among the offerings featured in Whisky Advocate’s latest weekly roundup. The magazine’s website has all the details.

•Ready for a Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Marselan? Last month, the French organization that governs wine appellations approved six grape varieties to be added to the grapes currently allowed for the production of Bordeaux entry-level wines, AOC Bordeaux and AOC Bordeaux Supérieur, with other categories expected to follow. Vignerons hope the new grapes will prepare the region for a changing climate. Wine Spectator has a full report.

•Winebow Imports has announced a new addition to its portfolio: Villa Maria Estate from New Zealand. The winery produces a number of bottlings including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon, from Marlborough and Hawke’s Bay, among other Kiwi subregions. Winebow Imports will now handle Villa Maria wines from six of the producer’s labels: Private Bin, Esk Valley, EarthGarden, Reserve, Single Vineyard, and Icon.

•Miami, Florida-based Mack & Schuhle has launched Ca’ di Prata, a new line of Prosecco, with three releases. The wine is named for Prata di Pordenone, the wine’s town of origin. The initial lineup has three offerings—Brut Prosecco DOC, Brut Prosecco Rosé DOC, and Extra Dry Prosecco Valdobbiadene Superiore DOC—priced at $16, $17, and $18, respectively. All three are now available in retailers across the U.S.
