Louis Roederer Names Guillaume Fouilleron To Lead U.S. Business, As Gregory Balogh Retires
April 26, 2021Gregory Balogh is set to retire as head of Louis Roederer’s U.S. operations on June 30 after 27 years at the helm. Guillaume Fouilleron, currently executive vice president and chief financial officer, will succeed Balogh as president and CEO of Maisons, Marques & Domaines USA and CEO of Roederer’s U.S. ventures.
Frédéric Rouzaud, president and CEO of Maison Louis Roederer and seventh-generation leader of the family business, said Balogh’s “leadership has been instrumental to our growth,” noting, “He joined us when our U.S. company was still very young and small—today, it is one of the leading players in the super-premium and luxury categories.”
Roederer’s namesake Champagne brand has hovered around 30,000 cases in the U.S. in recent years. The company’s portfolio also includes Ramos Pinto, Champagne Deutz, Delas Frères, Château de Pez, Domaines Ott, Scharffenberger Cellars, Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, Merry Edwards Winery, and Diamond Creek Vineyards.—Daniel Marsteller
