Exclusive: Blake Lively Introduces Betty Buzz Sparkling Mixers

Actress Blake Lively is joining her husband Ryan Reynolds in the drinks business, launching a new sparkling mixer brand called Betty Buzz. Reynolds retains an ownership interest in Aviation Gin, which Diageo acquired in its $610 million deal for Davos Brands last year.

“I don’t drink,” says Lively. “I know that’s odd coming from the wife of an infamous gin slinger. Over the past many years of mixing but not drinking cocktails, it became clear mixers are the unsung heroes of the drink world and deserve just as much love as alcohol. We’ve spent the last three years crafting Betty Buzz.”

Betty Buzz includes five flavors: Tonic Water, Sparkling Grapefruit, Meyer Lemon Club Soda, Sparkling Lemon Lime, and Ginger Beer. The mixers are made with real juice and natural flavors, have no artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners, and are non-GMO and gluten-free. They range from zero to 70 calories a 9-ounce bottle, with each bottle making two cocktails. Retailing at $8 a 4-pack, Betty Buzz is debuting in select markets and is also available through its website.—Daniel Marsteller
