Supply Chain Issues Slow Concha y Toro’s Third-Quarter Sales
November 4, 2021Concha y Toro saw sales slip 2.9% to approximately $250 million in the three months through September, hampered by the global supply chain crunch, although EBITDA remained positive, up 0.4% to $54 million. For the full nine months from January through September, Concha y Toro’s sales are up 4.3% to $709 million, while EBITDA increased 7.6% to $141 million.
The company said the third-quarter decline was “the result of lower sales in export markets and the U.S., in the context of the global logistics scenario that impacted volumes shipped.” While U.S. sales were down 8.5% for the quarter, Concha y Toro noted that some brands remained on the rise, including Trivento Golden from Argentina, and Marques de Casa Concha, Cono Sur Organico, Gran Reserva, and Cono Sur Bicicleta from Chile.
