Pernod Ricard Takes Majority Stake In Provence’s Château Sainte Marguerite
March 2, 2022Pernod Ricard has agreed to acquire a majority share of Cru Classé Côtes-de-Provence rosé producer Château Sainte Marguerite for an undisclosed sum. Owned by the Fayard family since 1977, Château Sainte Marguerite has established itself as a key producer at the super- and ultra-premium end of the Côtes-de-Provence appellation, according to the company. Olivier Fayard will continue to lead the winery’s operations. Château Sainte Marguerite’s wines will join Pernod Ricard’s luxury wine portfolio, alongside its Mumm and Perrier-Jouët champagnes.—Daniel Marsteller
