Gopuff’s Revenue Totaled $2 Billion Last Year, IPO On Hold
April 15, 2022Philadelphia-based instant needs delivery company Gopuff saw revenues reach $2 billion last year, while posting an EBITDA loss of around $500 million, Axios reported. Gopuff, which has aggressively targeted the beverage alcohol business with the acquisitions of retail chains BevMo on the West Coast and Liquor Barn in Kentucky, has for now put plans to go public on hold and is instead looking to raise about $1 billion in debt that could potentially be converted to stock, according to a new report in the New York Times.
Gopuff’s footprint now numbers 700 warehouses serving 1,200 cities in North America and Europe, the Times report added, as well as walk-in retail outlets in New York, Texas, and Florida. It has also amassed over 400 alcohol licenses across 30 states, Axios noted. The company is known for delivering food, drinks, and a host of other consumer items in a half hour or less.
