Brown-Forman Acquires Diplomatico Rum

In case you missed this morning’s news alert, Brown-Forman has agreed to acquire Diplomático rum. Financials weren’t disclosed. Brown-Forman will add the Diplomático Rum family of brands to its portfolio and acquire a production facility located in Panama. According to Impact Databank, Diplomatico surpassed 50,000 cases in the U.S. last year, where it has been handled by Spirit of Gallo. Here’s the full story.
