Craft Brewing and Distilling News for October 21, 2022
October 21, 2022•North Carolina’s Durham Distillery has announced Conniption Kinship, a new color-changing gin. The 46% abv spirit is made with juniper, Indian coriander, angelica root, licorice root, and dried bitter orange, as well as cucumber, lemon and orange peel, and honeysuckle flowers. In addition, the spirit is infused with butterfly pea flowers, giving it an indigo color. When citrus is added to the spirit, its pH shifts and the color changes to pink and blue. Conniption Kinship will be available starting November 1 for $35 a 750-ml. through Mash&Grape, with other e-commerce channels coming online in the near future.
