•Hood River, Oregon-based Hood River Distillers is launching Forthwest Whisky, a new product line. The Forthwest Whisky portfolio comprises four releases, three flavored and one not. The non-flavored expression is a five-year-aged blended Canadian whisky, while the three flavors are Forthwest Shiny Apple, Giant Peach, and Spice of Life (all at 40% abv and $30 a 700-ml.). It launches this spring in the Pacific Northwest with plans to expand nationally. “Whisky is often positioned as introspective, traditional, and largely looking to the past,” said John Russell, CMO at Hood River. “Forthwest is a timely and powerful energy about moving forward.”

•Wilson Daniels will release the inaugural certified-organic vintage from French wine estate Commanderie de Peyrassol. The winery’s entire range from the 2022 vintage has been certified as organic by French certifying body Ecocert, encompassing its whites, reds, and rosés. The transition to organic practices was a process that took five years to complete. Located in Provence, the Commanderie de Peyrassol is a 1,000-hectare estate that has continuously produced wine since its founding by the Knights Templar in 1204. It is now owned by proprietor Philippe Austruy.

•2XO Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskey, the small batch whiskey released by former Kentucky Owl blender Dixon Dedman, has announced the Innkeeper’s Blend, the second release from the brand. The 52% abv whiskey blends high- and low-rye Bourbons, with a portion of whiskies re-barreled by Dedman into charred new American oak barrels. The Innkeeper’s Blend is rolling out now in select markets across the U.S. for a suggested price of $100 a bottle. 2XO’s whiskies are part of the Prestige Beverage Group portfolio.
