Martignetti Makes Another Acquisition Play, Purchasing Quality Beverage

Martignetti Companies has announced a deal to acquire Massachusetts-based beer distributor Quality Beverage for an undisclosed sum. A leading distributor of beer and alternative beverages in the Bay State, Quality represents the Anheuser-Busch InBev and Constellation portfolios in addition to a variety of other domestic and imported brands. The transaction is subject to supplier and regulatory approval.

Owned by the Wetterau family, Quality operates approximately 3,200 accounts with a portfolio of more than 400 brands. Martignetti’s play for the distributor follows its February announcement that it’s entering Connecticut by acquiring Hartley & Parker from the Rosenberg family. Martignetti’s 2023 revenues are projected at $1.5 billion, according to Shanken’s Impact Newsletter.—Daniel Marsteller
