Bushmills Doubles Capacity With New Distillery

Proximo Spirits’ Bushmills has opened a new Causeway Distillery on a £37 million ($46m) investment. The move will double the Irish whiskey’s production capacity, and will be expanded with tourist facilities looking ahead. It’s part of a £60 million ($74m) investment in Proximo’s Irish single malt distilling and aging operations over the past five years. According to Impact Databank, Bushmills was roughly flat at just under 200,000 cases in the U.S. last year, but surpassed the million-case mark globally.
