June 14, 2023

•Steve Fechheimer, CEO of Fort Collins, Colorado craft brewer New Belgium, has announced he’s stepping down in August. Fechheimer served as New Belgium’s CEO for six years and guided the company through significant milestones, including the company’s sale to Australian brewer Lion (part of Kirin), the 2021 addition of Bell’s Brewery to the Lion/New Belgium family, and the acquisition of a new brewery in Daleville, Virginia. In addition to the acquisitions and expansions, Fechheimer presided over the rise of Voodoo Ranger IPA, a multi-year winner of Impact’s “Hot Brand” awards. Following Fechheimer’s departure, New Belgium CFO Danielle McLarnon will serve as interim CEO while the search for a permanent replacement is underway.
