July 6, 2023•Diageo’s Loyal 9 canned cocktail brand has added a new Margarita. Like the rest of the Loyal 9 portfolio, their Margarita is at 9% abv and comes in 12-ounce cans. The release also marks the brand’s first expansion beyond vodka-based cocktails. Loyal 9 Margarita comes in 4-packs of cans for a suggested price of $14 in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Loyal 9 was acquired by Diageo in 2021.
•Mom Water, the brand of non-carbonated spirits-based RTDs, has expanded, adding a new line of fruit-infused Tequila and water cocktails called Dad Water. The brand extension is launching with four flavors—Gary (Pineapple Jalapeño), Rodney (Blood Orange), Steve (Grapefruit), and Tom (Lime)—all at 5.25% abv and available in an 8-can variety pack. Dad Water is now available in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Missouri for a suggested price of $20 per pack. Mom Water earned Impact “Hot Brand” honors after surging to 481,000 9-liter cases in 2022 in its second year on the market.
