July 17, 2023•Limestone Branch Distillery is releasing its 2023 edition of Yellowstone Limited Edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. This year’s expression was made by master distiller Steve Beam from a blend of 7-, 13-, and 16-year-old Bourbons and finished in Tokaji casks. It was bottled at 50.5% abv and is limited in allocation, with availability beginning next month and priced at $100 a 750-ml. Limestone Branch Distillery is part of Luxco, the brands portfolio of MGP.
•French wine house Barton & Guestier announced the U.S. release of a magnum size edition of Barton & Guestier Côtes de Provence Tourmaline. The rosé wine comes in a sleek and clear bottle designed after its namesake gemstone. The magnum size of Barton & Guestier Tourmaline is now available in select retailers across the U.S. for a suggested $40 a bottle. Barton & Guestier is imported and marketed in the U.S. by BGPL USA, whose portfolio also includes Veuve du Vernay producer Patriarche and Listel.
•The Old G, a new gin brand from spirits industry veteran Peter Ibrahim, has launched in Florida, Georgia, California, Illinois, New York, and New Jersey. The new spirit is bottled at 42% abv and is packaged in a bottle designed by artist Hebru Brantley. In addition to its current distribution footprint, the brand is available for online ordering at $35 a 750-ml. According to the company, The Old G will expand to new states shortly.
•Teton Valley, Idaho-based Grand Teton Distillery is launching Private Stock American Single Malt. Made from 100% single grain Idaho malted barley, it has been aged seven years in Bourbon barrels above 6,000 feet in elevation and at extreme temperatures. It is bottled at 50% abv and retails for $80 a 750-ml. It joins previous Private Stock expression Straight Bourbon Whiskey in Grand Teton’s portfolio, which also includes Potato Vodka, Gamekeeper Single Barrel Wheat Whiskey, and a Huckleberry Vodka, among others. Grand Teton Distillery was founded in 2011.
•Viña Concha y Toro USA has named Brian Condon vice president, sales, west. In his new role Condon, who has over three decades of industry experience, will guide Concha y Toro’s western division and work towards growing the company’s brands in the region. Prior to joining Concha y Toro, Condon has served at a variety of companies, including E.&J. Gallo, Diageo, and, later in his career, in leadership positions at Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Casa Del Sol Spirits, and Sovereign Brands, among others.
