•Louisville, Kentucky-based Michter’s has announced its latest limited edition release: Toasted Barrel Rye. The 54.45% abv whiskey is a version of the company’s flagship US*1 Rye whiskey that is transferred to air-dried, toasted (not charred) oak barrels to finish its maturation. The whiskey will hit shelves across the U.S. in limited quantities beginning in September for a suggested price of $120 a bottle.

•Georgetown, Kentucky-based Blue Run Spirits—acquired earlier this month by Molson Coors—is launching Trifecta, a new Kentucky Straight Bourbon. A blend of six-, eight-, and nine-year-old whiskies, the new offering was selected and blended by Blue Run whiskey director Shaylyn Gammon from the company’s 5,000-barrel inventory. Trifecta will be available at retailers nationwide in August. It’s bottled at 117.1 proof and retails at $180 a 750-ml.

•Ian Macleod Distillers’ Rosebank distillery has released a new 31-year-old Scotch whisky, drawn from barrels saved before the distillery’s shuttering in the early 1990s. The 48.1% abv whisky is the second release since Ian Macleod purchased the distillery in 2017. It carries a suggested price of $3,299 and is now available in select retailers across the U.S. In addition to releasing its second whisky, the newly operational Rosebank distillery has also completed its first new distillation runs and will begin to welcome tourists in 2024.

•Bloomington, Indiana’s Oliver Winery has relaunched its sangria, packing the revived wine in 1.5-liter bottles. The company’s sangria blends its popular sweet red wine with natural fruit flavors and carries a suggested price of $17 a bottle. The wine is now available at Oliver’s tasting room as well as through its online store and throughout the company’s distribution footprint. In addition to relaunching the sangria, Oliver has released its sweet red wine in 1.5-liter bottles. The Oliver brand was up 2% to 755,000 cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank.

•Lawrenceburg, Kentucky’s Four Roses has announced the September 15 release of its 135th Anniversary Limited Edition Small Batch Bourbon. The 54% abv whiskey is the 16th release in the series and blends four Bourbons aged 12, 14, 16, and 25 years. Roughly 15,060 bottles will be available in select retailers across the U.S. for a suggested price of $200 a bottle. In addition to the distributed bottles, a limited quantity will be available for purchase at Four Roses’ distillery through a lottery system.

•Breakthru Beverage Group has appointed Dario Skocir senior vice president, market operations. According to the company, Skocir will work directly with chief operating officer Julian Burzynski, EVP, operations Art Wirtz, and the corporate operations team to drive market-level operating efficiency. Skocir comes to Breakthru from True Value where, as SVP of supply chain, he oversaw all aspects of end-to-end supply chain and led a team of more than 2,500 associates.
