•Luxco has retooled its Celtic Honey brand, increasing its abv and transforming it from a cordial to a flavored whiskey. Inspired by an Irish mead recipe, it’s made in Northern Ireland from Irish honey and whiskey. The new version is called Celtic Honey Beekeeper’s Blend, which is at 40% abv rather than 30%, and features updated packaging with a modernized, simplified logo. With flavors of clover, honey, and vanilla spice, it’s rolling out this month nationwide, priced at $25 a 750-ml. Luxco is the brands division of MGP.

•Ardbeg, Moët Hennessy’s Islay single malt, has announced the Anthology Series, a new line of whiskies, kicking it off with the Harpy’s Tale. The new whisky is a 46% abv malt aged for 13 years in both ex-Bourbon and ex-Sauternes casks. The aim, according to the company’s director of distilling and whisky creation Dr. Bill Lumsden, is to blend Ardbeg’s smoky profile with sweeter notes from the Sauternes casks. The whisky carries a suggested price of $165 and will be available via ReserveBar and in select retailers across the U.S.

•Heaven Hill Brands has announced the 2023 edition of Parker’s Heritage, the company’s yearly release celebrating former master distiller Parker Beam. This year’s release, the 17th in the series, is a cask strength rye whiskey made from Heaven Hill’s rye mash of 51% rye, 35% corn, and 14% malted barley. It’s bottled at 64.4% abv and is 10 years old. As with past editions, a portion of Parker’s Heritage sales will be donated to the ALS Association in tribute to Beam, who was diagnosed with the disease in 2010. Parker’s Heritage 10-Year-Old Cask Strength Rye will be available in limited quantities across the U.S. for a suggested price of $185 a bottle.
