September 5, 2023•Las Vegas-based cannabis retailer and producer Planet 13 will acquire Florida-based cannabis company VidaCann for $49 million. The move accelerates Planet 13’s push into Florida’s massive medical marijuana market. VidaCann currently operates 26 dispensaries in Florida as well as a fully operational greenhouse cultivation facility with processing and testing capabilities. VidaCann has an eponymous brand for its products and also licenses the brands Tikun Olam and Stanley Brothers. The transaction will be completed with a $4 million cash payment along with company shares and promissory notes.
•Tilray is expanding the selection of its premium cannabis brand Riff with the new Diamonds Collection. The line is named for its signature innovation: “diamond” pieces of THCA that are embedded along with full spectrum resin. Diamond infused pre-rolls are available in strains including Melonaide and Purple Punch OG while ’26 Delta Diamond Infused Blunts come in the strains Blue CKS and Blueberry Kush. Tilray plans to continue adding to the Diamonds Collection later this year, which is available in select regions and retailers in Ontario.
