M. Shanken Promotes Veteran Members Of Its Advertising Team

M. Shanken Communications, Inc. has promoted two veteran team members within its advertising unit and is congratulating a third on retirement after a long and successful career.

First, Connie McGilvray has been promoted to executive vice president, advertising. McGilvray has been part of M. Shanken for more than four decades, most recently serving as senior vice president, advertising. “Connie has been an invaluable member of the Shanken management team and an integral part of our company’s success,” said Marvin R. Shanken, chairman of M. Shanken Communications.

Additionally, Stephen Senatore has been promoted to senior vice president, spirits, overseeing spirits advertising in all consumer and trade publications. Senatore, who has been with the company for 16 years, was previously vice president and advertising director for the trade division, including Market Watch, Impact, and Shanken News Daily. He now adds spirits advertising for consumer titles Wine Spectator, Cigar Aficionado, and Whisky Advocate to his purview.

Finally, after a 28-year career with M. Shanken, Michael McGoldrick will be retiring at the end of the year. McGoldrick has most recently served as vice president, director, beverage alcohol advertising, Whisky Advocate, Cigar Aficionado, and Wine Spectator. “Michael has been an outstanding member of the Shanken corporate family for the past 28 years,” said Shanken. “I would like to thank him for his many years of service and wish him great joy in the coming years of his retirement.”
