•Winebow Imports is adding Spain’s Faustino and Portia wines, part of Familia Martinez Zabala, to its Heritage Division effective January 1. Known for its Gran Reserva bottling ($40) and its Art Collection series, Bodegas Faustino is the largest vineyard owner in the Rioja DOCa, with sizable holdings in both the Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Oriental, totaling 1,600 acres. Bodegas Portia, based in Ribera del Duero, has over 600 acres in the regions of Roa, Gumiel de Izán, Villanueva de Gumiel, and Gumiel del Mercado.

•Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits has appointed Ryan Lumaco executive vice president and general manager of the Alaska, Idaho, and Washington markets. A 25-year industry veteran, Lumaco is currently vice president, general manager of Washington. In his new role he’ll report to Patrick Daul, Southern Glazer’s president, Western Region. His promotion will be effective at the end of 2023, following the retirement of current executive vice president and general manager, Pacific Northwest, John Klein. Southern Glazer’s projected revenues this year across Alaska, Idaho, and Washington total $1.06 billion, according to Shanken’s Impact Newsletter.

•Old Forester 150th Anniversary, Michter’s 25, Dickel 18 Year Old, and newcomers from Hirsch, Evan Williams, and J. Rieger are among the offerings featured in Whisky Advocate’s latest weekly roundup. The website has all the details.

•Scotland’s Deanston Distillery has released a new single malt Scotch whisky, Deanston Virgin Oak Cask Strength. The limited edition first aged in Bourbon barrels, then finished for 12 months in virgin American oak barrels from Kelvin Cooperage in Kentucky. Bottled at $58.5% abv, the new entry retails at $98 a bottle and is rolling out to select retailers as well as online at ReserveBar. Terlato serves as Deanston’s U.S. importer.
