Opici Expands Italian Range, Adding 125,000-Case Kris Wines

Opici Wines & Spirits is adding 125,000-case Italian brand Kris Wines to its import portfolio effective January 1. The U.S. range includes Kris Pinot Grigio delle Venezie DOC and Kris Pinot Noir Terre Siciliane IGT, both retailing at $14 a 750-ml. Located in the Italian Alpine town of Montagna, Kris has a solid national accounts presence and consumer following in the U.S., Opici told SND.

Kris joins fellow Italian labels Cesari, Carpineto, Luiano, Viberti, and Meletti in the Opici stable. In July, SND exclusively reportedOpici’s acquisition of importer Pacific Highway Wines, which took its annual volume to above 1 million cases. —Daniel Marsteller
