November 28, 2023•Heaven Hill is releasing its fall edition of Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey at 8 years old. Comprised of barrels produced in Fall 2015, the twelfth national release in the series is presented in a decanter and meets the requirements of a bottled-in-bond whiskey: it’s the product of a single distillery from a single distilling season, aged a minimum of four years, and bottled at 100 proof or 50% alcohol by volume. This edition is available at the suggested retail price of $110.
•Brown-Forman is launching a Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey finished in Sherry casks. Jack Daniel’s Distillery Series Selection #12 has a grain bill of 80% corn, 12% malted barley, and 8% rye and is charcoal mellowed before entering into new, charred American white oak barrels. Once fully matured, the whiskey was then finished in Oloroso Sherry casks for an additional three years. The new offering is rolling out in Tennessee in limited quantities in 375ml bottles with a suggested retail price of $42.
•New York-based importer and distributor T. Edward Wines & Spirits has added the Churchill’s Port brand to its portfolio. The boutique Port house is known for a dry style with longer than normal fermentation time. Churchill’s portfolio includes LBV, Reserve, Tawny 10-year-old, Tawny 20-year-old, Tawny 30-year-old, Vintage, and Dry White Port bottlings. Churchill’s is joining T. Edward’s Prestige Brands division.
