Whisky Advocate kicked off its countdown of the most exciting whiskies of the year yesterday, revealing a cask strength single malt Scotch, a rum-finished Bourbon, and a Highland single malt as its Nos. 10, 9, and 8 whiskies of 2023 respectively.

Today at 11am ET, the magazine will unveil whiskies Nos. 7, 6, and 5, followed by Nos. 4, 3, and 2 on Wednesday. The Whisky of the Year will be announced on Thursday, December 7, and the complete list of Whisky Advocate’s Top 20 for 2023 will be published on Friday.
