Demeine Estates Expands Bubbly Range With Philipponnat Champagne

December 5, 2023

Napa Valley-based importer and marketer Demeine Estates, founded by the Lawrence family and Carlton McCoy Jr., is adding to its sparkling portfolio with the Philipponnat Champagne brand. Demeine Estates is importing the full range, including three non-vintage cuvees, three vintage cuvees, and four prestige cuvees, ranging in price from the Royal Reserve Brut NV 375-ml. at $45 up through prestige level Clos des Goisses at $500. Philipponnat, known for its focus on Pinot Noir, has current U.S. volume of around 10,000 cases annually.

“We have always practiced highly specialized and selective distribution,” said winery principal Charles Philipponnat. “We are certain that Demeine Estates is the correct partner to share in that goal.” In Demeine Estates’ growing French portfolio, Philipponnat joins brands including Blanc de Blancs specialists Champagne Legras & Haas, as well as Sancerre producer Domaine Roc de l’Abbaye and Burgundy’s La Chablisienne and Domaine de Montille.—Daniel Marsteller
