Bota Box Adds Offerings To Breeze Lineup

Bota Box is expanding its lower-alcohol Breeze range of wines with a Cabernet Sauvignon. The new entry joins Pinot Grigio, Dry Rosé, Sauvignon Blanc, Red Wine Blend, and Chardonnay in the lineup and retails at $23 a 3-liter box. Additionally, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc will now be available in Bota Box Breeze’s Mini 500ml Tetra-Pak offshoot, retailing at $6.

Delicato says national retailers such as Target, Meijer, and Albertsons/Safeway have placed orders for all three new wines. Bota Box Breeze jumped to 550,000 cases in its second year on the market last year, according to Impact Databank, and the light wine label is up about 36% in the 52 weeks through October 8, according to Circana/IRI.—Daniel Marsteller
