January 12, 2024•Gatlinburg, Tennessee’s Sugarlands Distilling Company has announced Mark and Digger’s Mountain Legacy Corn Whiskey, a new release set to hit shelves at the end of the month. The 60% abv whiskey is made from corn sourced from Tennessee and bottled unaged. The release is the third Sugarlands collaboration with Mark Ramsey and Eric “Digger” Manes of the TV show “Moonshiners,” following Rye Apple Pie Moonshine and Hazelnut Rum. The new whiskey will launch on January 26 and 27 at the Sugarlands distillery with appearances by Ramsey and Manes before entering wider distribution.
•Austin, Texas-based BeatBox Beverages reached $100 million in revenue for 2023, with the brand jumping 74% to over 3 million 9-liter case depletions in 2023, according to Impact Databank. The company reports that it has doubled in size—both in terms of revenue and number of employees—since 2022 with over 55 million individual BeatBoxes sold. Highlights from 2023 for the company include the launch of BeatBox Hard Tea in June, which the company says sold more than 265,000 12-bottle cases in the second half of the year alone, and topping 70,000 accounts purchasing BeatBox products each month. By the end of 2023, BeatBox was the third-largest RTD brand in multi-outlet and convenience stores (MULO+C) as tracked by IRI. The brand sells in 500-ml. resealable packages at around $4 each.
•Clase Azul Mexico has promoted Ani Teper to global strategic accounts vice president. Teper joined the luxury Tequila brand in October 2022 as U.S. strategic accounts specialist, focused on key multi-unit retail and major hotel and restaurant groups. In her new role, she will be responsible for leading all global commercial initiatives related to hotel, resort, retail, and restaurant groups across the U.S., Asia, and EMEIA regions.
