Interview: Indiana Liquor Group Quickly Emerging As Retail Powerhouse

Founded just five years ago, Indiana Liquor Group (ILG) has emerged as the second-largest beverage alcohol retailer in the Hoosier State, with 59 stores and annual sales revenue estimated between $80-$100 million. Founded by the late businessman David Hartley in 2018 with the acquisition of the 30-unit Sav-On liquor store chain, ILG has since added several more liquor store banners in north central Indiana, as well as launched its own concept Noble Wine & Spirits. Wine Spectator: Oregon’s Government Found Higher Taxes On Wine Didn’t Deter Alcohol Abuse, Then Sat On Findings

As the Oregon state legislature is locked in a contentious debate over raising excise taxes on wine and beer to curb excessive alcohol consumption, an Oregon health agency may have withheld a 2021 study that found higher taxes have little impact on getting abusive drinkers to cut back on consumption.
