Josh Cellars Extends With Seaswept, A New White Blend
February 8, 2024Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits is extending the Josh Cellars portfolio with Seaswept, a new blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio. With a relatively low alcohol content of 11.5%, it’s made with grapes from the cooler growing regions of California and retails at $16 a bottle. Seaswept has begun to roll out nationally, with full distribution expected this spring and summer.
According to Impact Databank, the total Josh Cellars portfolio—including offshoots like its Reserve and Prosecco—surpassed 6 million cases in the U.S. last year. Already a juggernaut within the wine category, the brand has seen a further boost in visibility lately after going viral across social media channels late last year into this year. Josh has also gained momentum from its Hearth extension, a higher-abv Cabernet Sauvignon that debuted last year and has become a key growth driver for the portfolio.—Daniel Marsteller
