RNDC Appoints Pernod Veteran Higgins To Lead $2.9B California Business
February 20, 2024Republic National Distributing Co. (RNDC) has named Shawn Higgins as executive vice president of its California business. Higgins joins RNDC from Pernod Ricard, where he was a division vice president overseeing California, Florida, Louisiana, New York, and Texas.
The 40-year industry veteran’s career has also included time with Gallo and Anheuser-Busch InBev. In his new role, Higgins will report to Bryan Boeck, president of RNDC’s West region. California is RNDC’s largest market, accounting for an estimated $2.9 billion in revenue last year, according to Shanken’s Impact Newsletter.
Additionally, RNDC named Matt Fraas as executive vice president of sales for RNDC NY/Opici. Fraas joins RNDC from Proximo Spirits where he most recently served as vice president of commercial strategy. Prior to that, Fraas worked at Southern Glazer’s of New York in a variety of roles, ultimately serving as vice president of sales for Tito’s. Fraas’ direct reports include RNDC NY/Opici directors of sales Shea Hannon and Josh Muska, and senior vice president for supplier business development Steven Hutchinson.—Daniel Marsteller & Shane English
