Exclusive: Compass Box Founder John Glaser Stepping Down From Exec Role

John Glaser, the founder of blended Scotch whisky specialist Compass Box, is stepping down from his executive role with the company, but will continue as a shareholder, SND has learned. The move comes two years after London-based investment firm Caelum Capital took a majority stake in Compass Box.

Since then industry veteran Maurice Doyle has served as CEO of the company, with Glaser continuing to guide its direction. Compass Box bottlings have made multiple appearances on Whisky Advocate’s Top 20 Whiskies of the Year list, including entries in 2017, 2020, and 2021.—Daniel Marsteller
