March 19, 2024•Francis Ford Coppola Winery, part of the Delicato portfolio, is introducing Vibrance Pinot Grigio to its Diamond Collection lineup. The new light wine has 80 calories and three grams of carbs a five-ounce serving, with an abv of 8%. Vibrance Pinot Grigio will be available nationwide starting this month, retailing at $15. It marks Coppola Diamond Collection’s first line extension since its Prosecco DOC and Prosecco Rosé DOC in 2022. Delicato noted that the $11-$15 segment is driving growth in the light wine category, representing a 40% share of dollar sales.
•Spirits-based RTD brand The Finnish Long Drink has added a new Peach flavor as a permanent extension to its portfolio. Peach had previously been a limited-time release as part of The Finnish Long Drink’s Midsummer variety pack. The Finnish Long Drink Peach is canned at 5.5% abv and distributed in 42 U.S. markets. It’s available in packs of six in national and local retailers for a suggested retail price of $12-$14. According to Impact Databank, the brand jumped 80% to 1.8 million 9-liter case equivalents in the U.S. market last year.
•Crimson Wine Group has promoted Alexis Walsh to EVP, consumer & revenue growth, a newly created role overseeing sales and marketing initiatives for all channels. Walsh joined Crimson in 2020 as SVP of sales and marketing. Reporting to Walsh is Tracey Hoff, who has been promoted to senior director of estates and hospitality. She joined Crimson in 2019 as estate director for Pine Ridge Vineyards. Also, Alexa Fox has been named VP of commercial insights and digital growth. She was previously VP of DTC and revenue marketing. Crimson’s portfolio includes Pine Ridge Vineyards (Napa, CA), Seghesio Family Vineyards (Healdsburg, CA), Chamisal Vineyards & Malene Winery (San Luis Obispo, CA), Archery Summit (Willamette Valley, OR), Seven Hills Winery (Walla Walla, WA), and Double Canyon (Horse Heaven Hills, WA).
