April 9, 2024•Casamigos is extending its range with a Casamigas Jalapeño Tequila. The newcomer was inspired by the favorite Casamigos serve of supermodel Cindy Crawford, wife of Casamigos cofounder Rande Gerber. It’s a 100% blue weber agave Tequila that’s naturally flavored with jalapeños for a spicy kick. The Jalapeño Tequila is rolling out nationally, retailing at $50 a 750-ml. and $60 a 1-liter bottle. Part of the Diageo portfolio, Casamigos has U.S. volume above 2 million cases, according to Impact Databank, with retail sales value of above $1 billion.
•Rémy Martin is launching XO Night, aimed at the nightlife segment. XO Night is packaged in a mirrored black decanter with a solarised shape that’s designed to radiate light from every angle. The new label will be backed with activations throughout the year in key markets across the United States, including New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Atlanta, and Miami.
•Atomic Brands is debuting a new spirits-based RTD label, Bikini Island. The new entry will launch in select markets mid-April, and nationwide later this year, retailing at $20 a variety 8-pack. Flavors include vodka-based Citrus Charge, vodka-based Blue Razz Explosion, Tequila-based Watermelon Blast, and rum-based Nuclear Pineapple. Bikini Island is at 5% abv and has 100 calories a can. It joins 3-million-case Monaco Cocktails and coffee-flavored whiskey Kentucky Coffee in the Atomic Brands portfolio.
•Korbel California Champagne is releasing a limited-edition bottle wrap for spring. Featuring an orange petal design and the brand’s California Extra Dry champagne, the “Poppy” bottle is a nod to California’s state flower. Korbel produced 5,000 cases of the special bottling, which retails at $14 a 750-ml.
