May 16, 2024•Suntory Global Spirits has announced Little Book Chapter 8: Path Not Taken. The eighth edition of this ongoing limited series is a blended of seven whiskies—six ryes and one high-rye Bourbon—aged four to 18 years. The whiskies include both Pennsylvania- and Kentucky-style rye whiskies and a rye malt whiskey. The blend is bottled at 59.1% abv and carries a suggested price of $150. Little Book Chapter 8 is rolling out now in limited quantities across the U.S.
•Heaven Hill has released the spring 2024 edition of Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond. This iteration is a 10-year-old Bourbon whiskey, distilled in 2014 and bottled at 50% abv. The whiskey’s suggested price is $140 a bottle and it’s available in limited quantities in retailers across the U.S. The spring 2024 edition is the 13th national release in Heaven Hill’s line of luxury bottled-in-bond whiskies.
•Gruppo Marchesi Frescobaldi has promoted Fabrizio Dosi to CEO, succeeding Giovanni Geddes da Filicaja as chief executive. Dosi joined Frescobaldi in 2019 as COO and has prior experience at Gemini Consulting, Bulgari, Giorgio Armani Hong Kong, and Illy. In his new role, Dosi will oversee all of Frescobaldi Group’s brands, including Ornellaia, Masseto, and Gorgona, among others. Giovanni Geddes da Filicaja will remain on the company’s board of trustees following his retirement.
•Moët-Hennessy has released Hennessy Master Blender’s Selection No. 5, the first release in the limited series in three years. The 43% abv Cognac is blended from eaux-de-vie distilled by 18 different distillers, selected by Hennessy master blender Renaud Fillioux de Gironde. The limited release is now available exclusively in the U.S. for a suggested price of $99 a 750-ml.
•Bottled cocktail brand Via Carota has expanded into sparkling cocktails, launching five new releases in 200-ml. bottles. The cocktails—Negroni Sbagliato, White Negroni Sbagliato, Spritz, Paloma, and French 75—are all at 11% abv. The cocktails are available in 4-packs in select retailers for a suggested price of $25 and in a 10-pack for $69 through the brand’s website. The new sparkling cocktails join Via Carota’s still line which includes Classic Negroni, White Negroni, Old Fashioned, Signature Manhattan, Espresso Martini, and Signature Martini.
