News Alert: Jay-Z Partnership Makes “Significant Investment” in Finnish Long Drink

Marcy Venture Partners, co-founded by Jay-Z, has made a significant investment in spirits-based RTD brand the Finnish Long Drink. While specific details of the investment were not disclosed, the investment continues the Finnish Long Drink’s run of celebrity investors adding Jay-Z to brand’s investor roster, which includes actor Miles Teller, DJ Kygo, and professional golfer Rickie Fowler. Marcy’s other co-founders include Roc Nation CEO Jay Brown and venture capitalist Larry Marcus.

Marcy’s investment comes on the heels of an incredible run for the Finnish Long Drink. Last year, the brand was up 80% to 1.8 million cases. The brand’s ascent has been rapid; it launched in 2018, reaching 33,000 cases in 2019. From there, growth exploded, with the Finnish Long Drink reaching more than 200,000 cases in 2020, 400,000 in 2021, and 1 million in 2022. The new investment, according to the companies, will provide the Finnish Long Drink opportunity to capitalize on its current explosive growth and momentum.—Shane English
