•Edrington’s Highland Park has released Cask Strength No. 5, the latest full proof offering from the Orkney, Scotland single malt distiller. This year’s edition comes in at 64.7% abv and matured in a combination of Sherry-seasoned first-fill European oak casks and PX Sherry casks. The whisky is now available across the U.S. for a suggested price of $100 a bottle. Last year’s Highland Park Cask Strength release was named the no.-2 Whisky of the Year by Whisky Advocate.

•Tincup Whiskey, part of the Proximo Spirits portfolio, has announced a packaging refresh for the brand’s 10-year-old Bourbon. On the new label, both Tincup and 10 are prominently featured against a black background. The new bottles will roll out across the U.S. through the summer. The whiskey, however, remains unchanged and is bottled at 42% abv with a suggested price of $50 a 750-ml.

•Suntory Global Spirits has extended Knob Creek with a new 10-year-old rye whiskey. The 50% abv bottling is the latest and oldest rye to join the permanent Knob Creek portfolio. The whiskey carries a suggested price of $70 a 750-ml. and is now available across the U.S. Last year, Knob Creek was flat at 531,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.

•M.S. Walker Brands is introducing new packaging and sizes for the Forever Young brand’s Côtes de Provence Rosé and Prestige Rosé Cru Classé. The repacked Côtes de Provence Rosé includes a 750-ml. at $26 and a new 1.5-liter at $65. The Prestige Rosé Cru Classé is adding a new double magnum 3-liter at $200, alongside its 750-ml. ($45). Forever Young, distributed to select retailers nationwide, is owned by Bethenny Frankel and produced in Provence by Valerie Rouselle of Château Roubine.

•Terlato Wines has appointed Corey Garner as winemaker for The Federalist brand. A veteran of Frank Family Vineyards and Ferrari-Carano among other California winemakers, Garner will report to Gaspar Roby, vice president of winemaking and viticulture. Sandra LeDrew, COO at Terlato, said the company has “very high expectations for future growth” from The Federalist, noting that the brand has received updated packaging and modernized flavor profiles across the full range.
