•San Francisco’s Hotaling & Co. has added Lagg Single Malt Scotch to its import portfolio, bringing the brand’s flagship range to the U.S.

The whiskies, produced by Isle of Arran Distillers, are heavily peated. The first release, Kilmory, is matured in first-fill Bourbon casks and bottled at 46% abv. The second release, Corriecravie, is finished in Oloroso Sherry hogsheads for roughly six months after its initial maturation in first-fill Bourbon barrels. Corriecravie is bottled at 55% abv. The whiskies are rolling out now across the U.S. with Kilmory carrying a suggested price of $75 and Corriecravie at $100. Both whiskies are bottled in 700-ml. bottles.

•Coors Spirits Co. has announced the first 2024 releases from Blue Run, a collection of six micro-batch high rye Bourbons each sourced from two to five barrels. The six bottlings each retail at $120 a bottle, with abvs ranging from 57.05% to 58.3%. They include Biscayne Breeze, Joshua Tree Sunrise, Miami Sunset, Santa Monica Pier, Tahoe Powder, and Yosemite Pine, all debuting in six-pack cases, with a supply of 106 to 150 six-packs depending on the whiskey. Molson Coors acquired Georgetown, Kentucky-based Blue Run for an undisclosed sum in August 2023.

•Rhum Clément is introducing a new liqueur, Bana Canne, joining Créole Shrubb and Mahina Coco to form the Clément Liqueur Collection. Bana Canne is made from the two main agricultural trades of Martinique—sugarcane and bananas—which are grown together on the estate. The liqueur retails at $35 a 700-ml. Additionally, Créole Shrubb and Mahina Coco have been repackaged. Located on the Atlantic coast of Martinique, Clément makes Rhum Agricole and Rhum Liqueurs and has six aging cellars housing over 12,000 barrels.

•The Vice Napa Valley Wines has appointed Mickey Deehan national sales director. Deehan’s experience spans three decades, including roles at Winc, Integrated Beverage Group, Josh Cellars, Copper Cane, Hope Family Wines, Constellation, and Gallo. The Vice is known for small-production luxury wines, such as its recent collection of five California orange wines retailing from $35-$65 a bottle.

•MGP Ingredients has named David Colyott as executive vice president of operations. He will succeed Steve Glaser, who is retiring in July after 13 years with MGP. Colyott brings over 30 years of experience across the consumer packaged goods industry, most recently serving as vice president of supply chain center of excellence at Mars Petcare since 2018. American whiskey player MGP saw sales roughly flat with the previous year on an organic basis in the first quarter at $171 million, as premium labels rose within its branded stable.
