Reyes Continues Push Into The Spirits Category

June 17, 2024

Reyes Beverage Group, the largest beer distributor in the U.S., continues to increase its activity in the spirits category, inking a deal to represent the Atomic Brands portfolio—including 3-million-case RTD label Monaco—in the Illinois and Indiana markets. An Impact “Hot Brand,” Monaco grew 16% nationally last year, ranking third behind High Noon and Cutwater in the spirits-based RTD segment.

The move will see Reyes companies Chicago Beverage Systems and Monarch Distributing take on the Atomic Brands range in the two states, along with other wholesalers Koerner Distributor, Inc., G&M Distributors, LaMonica Beverages, Rinella Distributing Company, Indiana Beverage, and Five Star Distributing.

The Atomic Brands announcement adds a large-volume supplier to Reyes’s spirits portfolio in the Midwest, a stronghold for the Monaco brand. “We’ve added some incredible new supplier partners like Sazerac, Brown-Forman, and Gallo,” Reyes Beverage Group CEO Tom Day recently told SND. “We’re also growing with our longstanding partners such as Molson Coors, Constellation, Diageo, Mark Anthony, and Boston Beer, who have come to us when expanding their spirits portfolios. We see additional opportunities in many of our other markets, particularly in Florida, Tennessee, and Texas.”—Daniel Marsteller
