•Lodi, California’s Oak Ridge Winery is introducing a new East Side Crossing label. Launching with a Cabernet Sauvignon ($20 a 750-ml.) and Sauvignon Blanc ($18), East Side Crossing refers to Oak Ridge’s location on the site of one of Lodi’s old wine cooperatives, with the facility originally built in 1934 on the east side of Lodi and aptly named East-Side Winery. The East Side Crossing wines are rolling out nationally this month. Owned by the Maggio family, Oak Ridge has 2,500 acres of vineyards in the Lodi appellation, with brands including OZV Zinfandel, Old Soul, Maggio Family Vineyards, and Moss Roxx.

•E-commerce player Flaviar, partnered with RNDC, is launching Flaviar Checkout and Flaviar Pay, two initiatives to allow compliant alcohol sales over the Shopify platform. Flaviar Checkout is integrated with Shopify and linked to Flaviar’s nationwide retailer fulfillment network. Flaviar CEO Jugoslav Petkovic says Flaviar Checkout makes it “easy for [drinks brands] to become a Shopify merchant and get your store up and running without having to worry about all the tricky compliance and operational complexities … We’ll also plug you in on our own marketplaces” like Flaviar and Caskers. Flaviar Pay, meanwhile, is billed as “the only approved solution for processing multi-retailer alcohol payments available to Shopify merchants.”
