•Last summer, Scotch whisky distillery Rosebank restarted production after being closed for 30 years. Now comes the opening of a new, state-of-the-art visitor experience. Based in the Lowlands town of Falkirk on the banks of the Forth & Clyde canal, Rosebank is midway between Edinburgh and Glasgow—less than an hour’s drive from each. Although owner Ian Macleod Distillers filled the first cask of the new era with triple-distilled Rosebank new make on July 18th 2023, the distillery wasn’t open to the public until this month. Three levels of tours are offered and range from $32–$385, with the higher priced experiences including tastes of mature Rosebank whiskies bottled by Ian Macleod distilled at the end of the United Distillers era. •Scheid Family Wines has added the Notorious C.A.B., a new Cabernet Sauvignon, to its VDR (Very Dark Red) line of wines. The California Cab is from the 2021 vintage and made with grapes sourced from Scheid’s estate holdings, primarily vineyards in the Central Coast, including San Lucas, Hames Valley and Paso Robles. The new release is at 14.1% abv and also includes small portions of Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot. The Notorious C.A.B. carries a suggested price of $27 and is now rolling out across the U.S.

•Speyside single malt Scotch whisky The Glen Grant, part of the Campari portfolio, has debuted The Glasshouse Collection: a new prestige range featuring the oldest aged expressions in the distillery’s permanent collection. The collection includes Glen Grant 21-year-old (46% abv), 25-year-old (46% abv), and 30-year-old (48% abv), retailing at $360, $1,000, and $3,000 a bottle respectively. Each of the whiskies matured in American oak Bourbon barrels and Oloroso Sherry casks. Glen Grant’s Glasshouse Collectioin is launching across the U.S, U.K., and Asia this year.

•Cambio, a new Tequila from chef John des Rosiers, has launched in the U.S. with Blanco and Reposado expressions. The brand aims to explore less-common barrel finishes for its Tequilas. To that end, Cambio’s Blanco rests in French oak wine barrels before bottling and the Reposado spends a month in Burgundy and Bordeaux barrels before maturing for an additional five months in French oak Chardonnay barrels. Both releases are bottled at 46% abv with Cambio Blanco retailing for $50 and the Reposado going for $60. Initially, Cambio will be available in California, Florida, Illinois, New York, and Texas.

•Hotaling & Co.’s Hirsch Selected Whiskeys has launched the Single Barrel White, a new barrel strength Bourbon. The whiskey is aged for four years and eight months and made from a mash of 74% corn, 18% rye, and 8% malted barley. The new release carries a suggested price of $50 a bottle and is now available in California, Colorado, Washington, D.C. Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, and Texas.

•Blanco, Texas’ Milam and Greene has released Distillery Edition Bath 5, this year’s iteration of the company’s grain-to-glass Texas Bourbon. The release is limited to 171 bottles and is a five-year-old Bourbon bottled at cask strength, 59.8% abv. The pot still distilled Bourbon retails for $140 exclusively at the Milam and Greene distillery with a portion of the proceeds donated to Panhandle Proud, a charity aiding in wildfire relief.
