July 1, 2024•American Whiskeys: Michter’s Legacy Series, New Riff, and Peerless bottlings are among the offerings featured in Whisky Advocate’s latest weekly roundup. The website has all the details.
•Cannabis and beverage alcohol group Tilray Brands is introducing Runner’s High Brewing Company, a new non-alcoholic brand. Runner’s High is rolling out with three initial entries: Golden Wheat, Raspberry Wheat, and Dark Chocolate. Golden Wheat has 90 calories a can, while Raspberry Wheat has 70 calories and Dark Chocolate contains 60 calories. They new non-alcoholic brews will debut in the Atlanta market with several expansion markets slated to follow soon.
•Bardstown, Kentucky-based 15 Stars has released the second batch of Triple Cask Fine-Aged Bourbon to select retailers in the midwest and eastern U.S. This edition of the whiskey is a blend of 16- and 8-year-old Bourbon that has finished in a combination of Cognac, rum, and apple brandy casks. The whiskey is bottled at 51.5% abv and carries a suggested price of $179. In addition to launching the new batch of Triple Cask, 15 Stars has announced that, over the course of 2025, it will expand into Alabama, Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming through RNDC.
•Brooklyn-based St. Agrestis has added to its non-alcoholic Phony lineup with a limited release Phony Limone Negroni. Made with many of the same ingredients found in the St. Agrestis Phony Negroni, the Phony Limone Negroni is then blended with the notes of femminello lemon. The new entry sells on the St. Agrestis website in 12-pack can format for $62.
